Linda D. Kramer is a life-long resident of Wadsworth. She and three of her children are all Wadsworth High School alumni. Two of her children are deceased, and her family now includes two children, five grandchildren, and her precious pets – five cats, two rabbits, and lots of fish!

Mrs. Kramer worked at the Ella M. Everhard Wadsworth Public Library from 1977-1992. In 1989, she was elected to the Wadsworth City Board of Education, receiving the Ohio School Boards Association Award of Achievement in 1993. Due to a change in her employment by the Medina County Board of Elections (1992-2002), she was unable to run for a second term as a board member. After her retirement from there in 2002, however, she once again successfully ran for member of the Wadsworth City Board of Education.

Mrs. Kramer’s civic involvement extends to her serving for seven years on the board of the Battered Women’s Shelters of Medina and Summit Counties, and as a past member of Medina County Rape Crisis Board.  Mrs. Kramer belongs to many conservation and animals rights groups, and she uses her musical talent and training to play alto saxophone in the Wadsworth Community Band. In 2005 she accepted induction into Franklin Elementary School Wall of Fame as an outstanding alumna of that building.

Mrs. Kramer firmly believes that education should be the number one priority in the United States, as it is the basis for the future of our country. She expresses deep pride in being a part of the Wadsworth City Schools.
